For online play with armada, won servers are no longer supported. So we use Game ranger which is a free small program which is able to host armada as well as other games. I'll walk you through online.-Downlad Game Ranger -Install, register. -Load up Game Ranger -Connect and you will be shown a list of games -Select from top menu bar community -Click search user -Insert 1221160 into the acct ID, search. -That's me .Note: Game ranger is a program run seperate from armada, there is no need to start armada to play online, Game ranger will run it for you once a game is launched.
Operating system rules still apply when playing online, for those that do not know i'll explain. Player A Player B Windows 7 + Windows 7 = No Problems Windows Xp + Windows Xp = No Problems Windows 7 32 bit + Windows 7 64 bit = No Problems Etc
Windows 7 + Windows XP = OOS (Out Of Sync) Windows Xp + Windows vista = OOS Windows Vista 32 bit + Windows Vista 64 bit = untested Windows XP 32 bit + Windows XP 64 bit = OOS EtcNote: Out Of Sync, simply means that the games you are playing wont match so Player A could have 3 fleets of ships, While player B only can see 1 fleet. From the moment the game states it's out of sync then consider the games could be seperate from each other AKA 2 differnt games completely. Anything done by player A to player B will not match up with what Player B sees or Player A. The OOS message will often display but the game wil not necessarily be OOS. Look at how often the message is appearing and ask teammates if they see what you are doing on screen. Also OOS affects closed maps more than maps like UA.
Always ensure you play with people who own the same operating system. If you experience router troubles or other connection issues here is a link to the game ranger support page.
